I forgot to put up this announcement some weeks back when it broke. But Google’s been fiddling with their algorithm and this means a lot of change for SEO.

PageRank Sculpting is history. So SEO folks don’t have the whole ‘nofollow’ attribute thing to play with anymore. Which is both good and bad. Good because it reduces some of the freedom to ‘game’ the system. Bad because webmasters have lost some amount of control, and folks are going to link-out less, probably, as a result. I expect high-authority web-pages to link out to others much less than they used to, especially if they’re the possesive sorts šŸ˜‰
